India in Council to acknowledge the receipt of your
letter of the 24th Instant, No.4ot/1909, on the
subject of the proposed employment of Mr.E.S.Lindsey
as Chief Resident Engineer on the British section of
the Canton-Kowloon ruilway -
In reply I am to state, for the information of
the Earl of Crewe, that Mr.Lindsey is not in the
employment of the Government of India but of the South
Indian Railway Company, whose offices are at 91, York
Street, S.W; and I am to suggest that your enquiry
